Genelec Monitor 8040BPM

Genelec Monitor 8040BPM – Active Studio Monitor

A preferred monitoring solution for recording professionals worldwide, the Genelec 8040B active studio monitor delivers pristine audio performance, high SPL capability, and extended low-frequency response. Designed for critical listening environments, it provides a balanced combination of accuracy, detail, and dynamic energy required for professional mixing and production.

The monitor incorporates a 6.5-inch woofer supported by an advanced reflex port design, enabling powerful and low-distortion bass reproduction down to 48 Hz. Its 0.75-inch dome tweeter is enhanced by Genelec’s Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW) technology, ensuring a flat on-axis and off-axis frequency response while maintaining precise stereo imaging.

The enclosure is built using Genelec’s Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE) design, minimizing cabinet-edge reflections and delivering a smooth frequency response with a highly accurate soundstage. Dedicated high-headroom amplifiers for each driver, a premium active crossover, advanced driver protection circuitry, and integrated room response compensation features ensure reliable and precise monitoring performance.

Additional technologies include Genelec’s Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS) power-saving system and the vibration-isolating Iso-Pod stand. With exceptional clarity, powerful output, and a compact yet robust design, the Genelec 8040B stands as a professional monitoring solution for engineers who demand accuracy in every mix.
