AT-VM95E – Turntable Cartridge

Overview

The AT-VM95E is Audio-Technica’s updated entry-level elliptical cartridge, designed as the successor to the legendary AT95E. Building on the improvements introduced with the AT95EX in 2015, it features a more rigid, low-resonance housing for enhanced performance. The cartridge body includes two threaded inserts, allowing quick and secure mounting to a headshell or integrated tonearm using just two screws, with no nuts required.

As part of the VM95 Series dual moving magnet lineup, the cartridge is designed for long-term use. Instead of replacing the entire cartridge when the stylus wears out, users can simply install a compatible replacement stylus or upgrade within the series. The elliptical bonded diamond stylus tracks groove modulations with greater precision than a conical stylus, improving frequency and phase response while reducing distortion.
